How Skein collects, uses, stores, and protects creator, viewer, and connected-platform data.

Last updated July 11, 2026

1. What Skein is

Skein is an AI-native creator management and editing product built to help real creators analyze footage, plan content, package clips, manage approvals, and operate a publishing workflow without cloning or replacing the creator.

This Privacy Policy applies to Skein websites, apps, creator dashboards, upload flows, publishing tools, analytics tools, waitlists, and any related services that link to this policy.

2. Data we collect

We may collect account details such as your name, email address, company name, social handles, billing or business contact details, and the credentials or tokens needed to connect third-party platforms.

We may collect creator-provided media and project data, including uploaded videos, audio, transcripts, captions, edit decisions, schedules, briefs, approval states, comments, brand notes, and performance notes.

We may collect connected-platform data, including channel metadata, audience analytics, post history, engagement metrics, and publishing permissions when you choose to connect accounts.

We may collect technical and usage data such as device information, browser information, IP address, session logs, error logs, feature interactions, and security telemetry.

3. What we do with data

We use data to provide the product, including transcription, analysis, clip suggestions, series generation, scheduling, publishing support, analytics, brand workflow support, and support operations.

We use data to improve reliability, security, abuse prevention, product quality, and future creator-management features.

We may use limited service data to train internal heuristics, quality checks, or product operations, but we do not use your face, voice, or likeness to build a synthetic creator replacement product.

4. Likeness and identity boundaries

Skein's doctrine is that we manage the real creator. We do not make a fake creator.

We do not treat uploaded media as permission to clone, synthesize, simulate, or impersonate a creator's face, voice, name, or likeness.

If a future feature would materially expand how likeness-related data is used, we will require a separate, explicit opt-in before that use begins.

5. Legal bases and permissions

Where required by law, we process personal data based on contract necessity, legitimate interests, consent, legal obligations, or other permitted grounds.

When you connect a third-party account, you authorize Skein to access the data and permissions you approve through that provider's OAuth or authorization flow.

6. Sharing and service providers

We may share data with infrastructure, storage, transcription, AI, analytics, communications, payments, security, and hosting providers that help us operate Skein.

We may also share data with connected social platforms or partner tools when you direct Skein to publish, retrieve analytics, or sync account information.

We do not sell creator likeness rights or treat creator identity as transferable inventory.

7. AI processing

Skein may use automated systems and AI models to transcribe footage, summarize transcripts, identify hooks, organize story beats, recommend edits, generate packaging ideas, and assist with publishing workflows.

AI outputs are assistive tools. They may be wrong, incomplete, or stylistically off. Creators remain responsible for review, approvals, and final publishing decisions unless a future managed-service agreement states otherwise.

8. Data retention

We keep data for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security and backups, comply with law, enforce agreements, and resolve disputes.

Retention periods may vary based on account status, connected-platform requirements, storage settings, and contractual obligations with creators, teams, or brands.

9. Your rights and controls

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain uses of your personal data.

You may request account or data help by contacting billionairebumblebee@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on sensitive requests.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect account, media, and connected-platform data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

Skein is not intended for children under 13, and where stricter age thresholds apply, it is not intended for users below those thresholds without legally valid authorization.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as Skein's editing, publishing, analytics, and collective-management features expand. Material changes will be posted with an updated effective date.

13. Contact

Privacy questions, access requests, and deletion requests can be sent to billionairebumblebee@gmail.com.
